FUN WITH EMMA

(AS TOLD BY EMMA)
Monday is the day my Grandma comes to play and we had another fun day together. We started out with our traditional walk. Grandma does the walking and pushing of the stroller and I do the sightseeing and babbling. We headed off to Kmart first since Grandma had a few things she needed. Grandma found everything she needed and then something fun for me - a cute Halloween outfit! Then Grandma had the great idea of taking a new route back to my house, but it was a route she had never taken before. We were doing just fine (Grandma even new approximately where she was, at least that is what she kept telling me) and we found ourselves behind Woods Cross High School. Things were going great until we chose a sidewalk that was covered with a flat spreading weed, which Grandma didn't realize was full of little burrs and all three tires of the stroller became covered with the burrs and soon we had three flat tires. We called my mama for a quick rescue and soon we were home!. Grandma owes mommy and daddy three new inner tubes!!

After my nap and lunch Grandma took me outside. I told her she needed some new pictures of me on her blog because I am growing so big, my top teeth are finally in and I am sooo cute.

Below are some new photos for your viewing pleasure!

So an update with Anne, Hannah this is for you :)

So it's been a busy and expensive couple of months. I started college at Weber State!!!! It is so much better then high school (the boys are cuter, but I still don't talk to them). I'm taking Nutrition, Communications, Intro to Athletic Training and English, along with an online Health class. I like Nutrition, Intro to AT, and sometimes Communications, but not really English because I'm not very good at writing papers. In Communications I'm in a group that I have to be with all semester with 4 boys. It's interesting, they are kind of weird.
I can finally drive my car!! Cade Jr. is up and running and I can now drive it with out stalling it very often (well I did yesterday in the middle of Washington Blvd) and I haven't burned the clutch in weeks! I also had to buy new tires so I don't peel out as much.
I still work as a receptionist for my neighbor's law office. It's a great job because I can just go in after school and only have to work until 5:00.
Oh and for you Twilight fans I didn't like Breaking Dawn at all. I was too weird and the ending was so boring. So my friend and I made up a couple of our own endings. But we are so excited for the movie in November. It's what we are living for.
Oh and Quinn, Weber State is going to kick Utah's trash on Saturday! (Hey, I can dream can't I?)
Here are some cute pictures of me!

ONLY ONE MONTH LEFT UNTIL THE WEDDING!!

The wedding plans are in full swing now. I find myself either actively working on something to do with the wedding or thinking about it every minute of the day. It's a lot of work, but it sure is fun work. Carly has been up to Salt Lake/Ogden the past two weekends and we got a lot accomplished: found THE DRESS!! printed invitations, picked out flowers, cake and finally decided on bridesmaid outfits.

A friend of Carly and Jeff's in Cedar City took their engagement pictures and they are absolutely fabulous. They were all good!! In fact, Carly and Jeff had a hard time choosing just one for their invitation and so they chose two and printed half and half for the invitations. Which one will you get??? The red rock background or the greenery?? Keep on eye on your mailbox!!

Well, it's my day off and of course that means I have to run now and try to get as many things checked off "my list" as I can today. Enjoy just a few of the fun pictures below that Carly and Jeff had to choose from for their invitations.

MANJA SAYS FAREWELL TO OGDEN STAKE YOUNG WOMEN!!

I was released today during Stake Conference as Stake Young Women's President. Having served for almost four years, it's hard to think I'm done. It has been a great experience to get to meet the young women and their leaders from 9 different wards. I have loved this calling and loved serving with the great women who have helped in my presidency. Thanks Kathy, Robin, Margie, Nan, Shelly, Bonnie, Suzanne and Amy. With my own daughters grown and graduated from the young women program, it's going to be a little different not attending their meetings any more. But, as you know, "no rest for the wicked" so I'll be waiting for the next call. (Oh dread!)

TAYLOR WISDOM TEETH

Just in case you missed "Wisdom Teeth Weekend"
here's a great shot of Taylor with ice packs tied
to his head. His band teacher is glad he's back to normal, playing the trumpet is a bit impossible with swollen gums!!

WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING SUCCESS!!

Carly finally found a wedding dress - and it was worth the wait!! Carly drove up from Cedar City and Manja, Lauralee and Emma met her in Salt Lake for a day of dress shopping. We visited four dress shops, and of course the very first dress she tried on that day in the very first shop was the one she finally picked!! With less than a month until her bridal pictures, we were all a bit stressed, but she has a lovely dress and it needs only minor alterations.

Of course we can't publish a picture of the dress here because Jeff just might try to sneak a peak. He'll just have to wait!! But ask Manja, she just might share a sneak peak with everyone else!!

While shopping for wedding dresses it is very hard not to notice the darling little dresses for young girls. So, se have all decided that Emma has 6 weeks to learn to walk so we can put her in a cute little bouncy, flouncy dress. Crawling around in a fancy schmancy dress just isn't going to cut it girl!

Okay, we have a reception center, a dress, a photographer and colors, now we move on to our next big challenge - bridesmaids!! Any suggestions about where to look for dresses or cute tops that don't involve ordering and waiting 3 months for shipping???

It really has been fun to help Carly with her plans. We are so proud of you Carly for all you have accomplished thus far and are excited to watch you step into this next adventure!!

Just An Update With Taylor

Hey everyone just thought that we needed an update on our blog, so you get to read my rambling!
We'll I'm in the middle of the third week of school. I have got a lot going on this trimester.

I have marching band, and we have our first exhibition on this Saturday. But we have performed the first three fourths of our show, at a football half-time show. My band director wasn't very when he found out that I was having my wisdom teeth out the day before, so unfortunately I wasn't able to perform that night, but I was there for support!

I am also involved in the Chamber Choir! I'm excited for this because we might be going to Disneyland!!! Last week we had auditions for the school musical. This year is a comedy instead of a drama like it was last year. We are doing Funny Girl. I got the part of a workmen and ensemble, but lucky for me the ensemble is very involved in the whole show; I will be in at least 10 scenes. The performances are in January and February.

At school, since we are 15 or 16 in my grade, everyday we have to talk about getting our licenses or about our learner permits. I don't think I have gone a day at school without talking about driving or who has their lisences. I'm can't wait to turn sixteen because then I don't have to ask my parents if I can drive. Mom, Dad, take note, I expect this car to be sitting in the driveway on my 16th birthday. JUST KIDDING

Well there isn't much else going on except, I do get to dissect a pig heart on Friday in Human Biology, I'm pretty excited for it!!!!!!
