Here's a quick little update on out favorite missionary - Elder Taylor
Taylor had quite the weekend -
On Saturday night during the adult session of Stake Conference, there was an earthquake 200 or so miles south of where Taylor is serving on Prince of Wales Island. Subsequently a tsunami warning was issued for their town and everyone left the meeting and headed to higher ground in the city. Taylor said he felt the earthquake while sitting in the meeting and saw the exit signs in the building swaying. Here is what he said in today's email:
"This happened at 7:30ish and the wave was to hit around 9:10pm. . . . Well 8:30 rolled around and no authorities had anything to tell us. We said a prayer and we felt like we needed to be at a member's home who lived only a block away from the community pool and who actually is on higher ground than the pool so we ended up there and we watched the water go out of the bay then come back in. Even though the wave wasn't large we could still see the water recede then rise again. Pretty cool. " The "wave" ended up being a whopping 4 inches!!
On Sunday, Taylor and his companion had a baptism. This is what he had to say in his email:
"Iliamna's baptism yesterday was FANTASTIC! It seriously could not have gone any better! It was perfect. We had a member of the branch baptize her and she will be confirmed this coming Sunday. Seriously, I still can't believe the amazing power of the Holy Ghost and how strong it is at ordinances. It is truly amazing and very special. We had a T-shirt made for her that says, "I'm a Mormon" on the front and "I know it, I live it, I love it" on the back and she loved it. She put it on the second she got it. The branch all love her. Her first Sunday at church she answered more questions in Young Woman's than anyone else. So cool!"

What a wonderful week!!
We finally had everyone together - except for our missionary, of course.
Daniel and Hannah and sweet little Lyla came from Ohio. Carly, Jeff and Owen came from St. George.
We had fun, especially since only Grandma and Grandpa were the only ones in our family to have met Lyla in person!!
Here we are all together on Sunday.

Yep, Grandma is very happy to have all four of her grandkids together!!
The next day we all met up again at Snowbird for another day enjoying our family.
