SUPER SUNDAY (Conference Sunday)

What a beautiful Spring Sunday!! Still on the
chilly side, but clear and sunny.
What a great conference weekend! I loved
all the talks and counsel we received.
Now, we just need to keep on a course
of faith and obedience.

Quinn, Lauralee and Emma came to visit.
We had our first "Super Sunday" dinner which
will now include all the favorites also found at
Superbowl Sunday dinner.

We had a great time playing with Emma,
eating plenty of 7 layer bean dip, a round of
Phase 10, and watching rescuers pull
people off the mountainside just east of
our house. All and all, a very entertaining afternoon.

Even Uncle Curt, Aunt Cindi and the kids stopped
by for a visit on their way to Tremonton to visit family.

This little sweater was also worn by Emma's mother
when she was just a wee little lass!

Playin' with Aunt Annie

But I don't want to go home,
I want to stay and live with Grandma!!

ANOTHER PROJECT COMPLETED!

This weekend we finally finished a big project -
the headboard for our bed, the first step in
our bedroom redo. Anyone who has seen our
room knows that it needs help big time.
See the results below:

Recipe for a new headboard:

Take two old twin size headboards . . .

add three 4 x 4 posts . . .

Cut, drill, glue!

Fully constructed, but still not stripped and stained.

Finally, finished and doesn't it look fabulous?!? We already have it attached to our bed!! Someday -- soon I hope -- we will actually have our bedroom remake done and then I'll show you pictures of the headboard in action. As for now, it's the only "nice" thing in our bedroom and thus I won't let you see the rest of the room.

Thanks sweetie (Bryan) you are the best for letting me dream
and then making them happen!!

DISNEYLAND (The Happiest Place on Earth)

Disneyland really is the happiest place on earth. It's funny how Anne and I went to Disneyland the same week but for different reasons. Anne went just to have fun, but I went to have fun but also compete. As most of you know, I went to California with the band, orchestra, and the two choirs.

The trip all started with a call time of 5:30 A.M. on Thursday. We got as settled as you can get on a Le Bus and headed for California. 13 hours away California. We only made 3 stops and made it to our hotel just after 8:00P.M..
The next morning we all got up to go to the band competition. So when we get to the competition, we get into a a spot where they couldn't let us out so we had to back up and during the backing up process, we just happen to hit a fire hydrant and as you can guess, WWWHHHHHUUUUSSSSSSHHHHHH.

Our our competition we hung out outside.

The face is an inside joke and it would take to long to explain!

Then after we got changed we made our way to Disneyland and California. FUN!!!!

This picture was taken at one in the morning waiting for the group to meet at the "O" standing for OGDEN.
HAHAHA

After a tiring day at Disneyland, we head back to the hotel at about 1:00A.M. to wake up again in about five hours for the choir competition. Fortunately we did not hit any fire hydrants but we had a bunch of fun and we did really well.

Saturday night after a day at Disneyland and California Adventures, we went to the awards ceremony for the festival, in Disneyland, where we watched the fireworks and met some characters and it was way fun.
The Accappella Choir got silver

The Chamber Choir got First and Silver our all the choirs

The Orchestra got first all over and a Gold Festival Award which invites them to a national festival in New York, Chicago, or San Fransico, or the Chucke Cheese in Provo, Utah. A little joke between the festival and us.

And the Band got first as well

We also received 4 individual awards for solos.

The school received the Festival Supreme Award, which means our school got the highest overall scores over everyone there.
Here are some pictures of our trophies!

These are some pictures form hanging in Disneyland and California Adventures

Sunday morning we got up early and drove home, YEAH, but sad :'(

We only stopped three times again but it was exciting when we stopped in Vegas's In and Out Burger, and I don't see what is so special about it.

We stopped for food in California Adventures and we didn't want to eat our refried beans so we combined them and made a work or art!
Here is the famous picture of me being a girl on
Tower of Terror
and yes I sreamed like one too.
The guy in the front row is me!
Thanks for Kendra and Sarah (to two girls I was sittting in between) for dragging me on that ride!
Sorry about the weird angle, we took a picture of the screen it was on, because I was too cheap to buy the real thing.

SPRING BREAK!! WAHOO!!!

Girls in bikinis, boys doing the twist! (for you Gilmore Girls fans)
Its SPRING BREAK!!
But instead of going to party crazy Florida, me and my best friend
Amy chose a safer place to vacation.
DISNEYLAND!!!!
So Tuesday 9th we packed up our things and got to the airport at
5 am. Sat around for a while then flew to San Francisco and sat
around some more, then finally arrived in Anaheim.
We stayed at a great little hotel right across the street,
it looked like a castle.
We spent two and a half days in Disneyland and California Adventure.
It was a lot of fun, no parents, and no brothers.
Some fun and exciting things that happened to us where we got
evacuated out of Indiana Jones because it broke down, got soaked on
Splash Mountain, and went to a great Alandin show. We each bought
really cute Mickey Mouse ears. Mine are pirate ones like Jack Sparrow's.
They have the coolest firework show ever! It's awesome!
On Friday we went home but it was Friday 13th. We had a lot of
trouble last Friday 13th and this one was bad too.
There was weather delays in San Fran so we couldn't leave Anaheim
for 3 hours and we were stuck in the tiniest airport in a sperate building with
no food or drinks and we couldn't go anywhere because we could leave at an
minute. Then when we finally got to San Fran we had to run
our gate and barely made it in time. However then we sat
on the plane for another 30 minutes while they refueled. We
finally made it home starving and tired but it was worth it.
Disneyland really is the happiest place on earth! Although I do
have a new phobia of strollers (they are everywhere!) and
It's a Small World is still the most annoying and creepy ride ever!
Here are some great pictures!

Waiting for Indiana Jones

The "A" in California

Mickey Mouse!!
He loved our ears.

Goofy!!!Cinderella thinks that me and Amy are twins.

Coolest Fairy ever! Tinkerbell! She gets to fly above
Disneyland during the firework show every night.

Pocahontas!
She's heard great things about the
Utah tribe.

The princesses had us do princess poses and think of someone
dreamy. Sleeping Beauty was thinking of Prince Philip, I was thinking
of Edward Cullen.

Snow White!

Minnie Mouse!!

Lighting McQueen and Mater!

The Greatest Place on Earth!! Mmm... Corn Dogs
Our Tower of Terror picture.
We are in the bottom left corner, but my favorite is
the guy in our row who looks like he's going to
throw up.
