FAMILY CAMPING TRIP
Bryan and I left Monday morning for two nights
in Bryce Canyon.   We had the BEST weather
we have ever experienced at Bryce.

We could actually get out and take hikes!!
We had a great time.

Hiking the Hoodoos.

Yep, that's Thor's Hammer!

Next we traveled to Zion National Park where we
spent three nights in Watchman Campground
Our daughters and their families joined us.
We hadn't camped inside the park for
years and we had a great time.

It was just cold enough every morning that we
had to eat breakfast inside.  Then it warmed
up and the days were beautiful - we never
saw a cloud in the sky.

Thank heavens for all the irrigation ditches
throughout the campground - lots of cheap
entertainment for the kids!

Campfires = smores and dutch oven meals!

The kids went to bed pretty easy while camping -
we wore them out during the day with our hikes

Mia was the perfect little camper
and the best sleeper of the bunch.
But then she was bundled up so warm and
cozy she could hardly move.

We took lots of hikes and
James and Emma were little troopers,
hardly a complaint - if you make sure
to have lots of snacks in your backpacks.

 Hike to Overlook with the
traditional picture on the rock!

Hike to Weeping Rock
where the kids try to catch the weeping water.
