University of Utah Pep Rally at the Gateway

Yep, we're still faithful band parents!

Actually we had a great time watching the band march through the gateway to the plaza.  They performed most of their half time numbers and we got to see Taylor up close instead of from the very, very top row of the stadium.

FUN AT SNOWBIRD!

Somebody (Anne) celebrated her birthday (22!) at Snowbird just like she does every year. (Yes, Grandma had the birthday sign - not the new one but thank heavens the very special old one from the 1980s).

Somebody's mother (Manja) forgot to make sure she had candles for the birthday cake (Candybar Cake).  So somebody's mother just grabbed the bag of miscellaneous candles left over from all the other birthdays.

Somebody's brother-in-law (Jeff) placed the candles on the cake in such a lovely arrangement.  Thanks, Jeff.

Somebody's boyfriend (Brock) gave the birthday girl a very CUTE coat for her birthday.  Somebody's parents (Manja and Bryan) gave Anne the new camera for her birthday so she could have a picture of her birthday cake and her new coat!

Thanks, Anne, for having a birthday because it's been a while since we had the candybar cake and yummy potatoes (aka funeral potatoes).

And if you go to Snowbird - you know what that means - THE WALK!  And don't be deceived by the clear, dry path.  Only about 20% of the path looked like this.  The rest of the path was covered with icy snow packed down by many feet.  Thanks Uncle Jeff for pushing James in the umbrella stroller over the ice and snow.

Back in the room there's a pretty wild came of Five Crowns goin' down.  Remember, the game's not over 'til the Kings go wild. And somebody (Manja) won!

Outside is fun in the water!  Somebody (Emma) loves everything about the water.

Somebody (James) is not so fond of the water.  Maybe next year.

And thanks again Grandma and Grandpa for another fun weekend at Snowbird!

September Picnic

I LOVE FALL!!
Fall of course means football - and while it's not what I look forward to each year when September rolls around, it does mean Taylor is very, very happy.  Now if you don't know what that means, you've been living under a rock for the last four years.  Yep, I'm talkin' MARCHING BAND.  Taylor has graduated from the Orange and Black of Ogden High to the Red and White of the Marching Utes.  Just because it's college doesn't mean it's changed any - Taylor is still crazy in love with marching band.  Here are a few pics from the infamous BYU/Utah game.

Saturday evening Laura, Anne and Mom enjoyed the Relief Society General Meeting at the Conference Center followed by dinner at Wingers!

Sunday evening family came for dinner and we had fun around the campfire enjoying the great fall weather.

Now it may look as if Quinn is about to "kill" dinner for us, but don't worry,
we had actually finished our meal and the kids were playing Sequence
It's fun
It's challenging
It's exciting
It's Sequence!
(Taylor and Quinn ruled)
